Students acquire basic and specialist expertise in the methods of identifying, capturing and developing soccer talent; leadership in talent management; the skills for managing soccer teams, schools and academies; and the application of new technologies for understanding and assessing players in training and competition situations in order to develop their capabilities.

  • At the Villaviciosa de Odón Campus of Universidad Europea and at the facilities of Real Madrid CF, the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and ‘Real Madrid City’ (Valdebebas), and at other bodies and clubs.
Schedule
Class schedules are compatible with working hours: Fridays and Saturdays from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. and 3.00 to 8.00 p.m.

INSTRUCTIONAL APPROACH

The Master in Talent Identification and Development in Soccer follows the case study method (analyzing real cases provided by the professors based on their experience), together with the theoretical and practical study of each subject within the curriculum.

ACTIVITIES

Students will enjoy a stay abroad to learn about the work carried out at one of the most prestigious European clubs in the field of talent identification and development. The visit will take place at the facilities of a top international soccer club.*
(*) The club where this visit will take place is pending confirmation. The choice will depend on the availability of the European clubs. In the 2012-13 academic year, Master students visited Ajax of Amsterdam and its Youth Academy, and learned about the different programs of its talent development department: “Ajax Talent Development”, “Ajax Scouting” and “Coach the Coach”.

    Aims and types of selection
    Methodology and control of the variables affecting sporting success

The admissions process for Real Madrid Graduate School programs can take place at any time during the year, although enrollment on any graduate program will depend on the availability of places.

Once candidates have received advice and have provided the necessary documentation, the Graduate Admissions staff will set a date for taking theentrance exams corresponding to the program they are interested in, and for apersonal interview with the Master's Program Director or a member of the Admissions Committee.
